The Høstfest with the Most(est)!

Norsk Høstfest, held in Minot, ND, is an annual celebration of Nordic heritage that draws its audience from around the world.

It was founded in 1978 and continues to be a successful festival including entertainment, shopping, authentic foods and learning about Scandinavian culture.

KK BOLD’s relationship with Norsk Høstfest began with a simple redesign of its website in 2005. Today, we provide strategic direction for their annual marketing campaigns as well as a broad range of services, including promotion development, graphic design, media placement and social media management.

This year Høstfest decided to do early concert announcements and put tickets on sale in November. So we did small announcements as the acts were confirmed. We used social media to announce early and push tickets for two or three acts at a time. Then pushed the full announcement campaign in March with great success.

KK BOLD has continued over the years to move Høstfest more and more into the digital world. Just one of the things we did this year was to geofence the North Dakota State Fair. Fair goers are likely people who would also attend Høstfest. With geofencing we can target people who were literally on the Fair grounds during the Fair. We then serve them online display ads for Høstfest.

We also employ conversion technology to track ticket purchases and strategically target those who haven’t completed purchases yet, but have expressed interest by retargeting the audience for the conversion.

Work has already begun for next years’ marketing as well. During this year’s festival KK BOLD will be shooting footage for some really fun video vignettes for 2020. We look forward to focusing not just on the entertainment but also how much family fun Høstfest has to offer as well as the shopping, food and artisans showcasing their crafts.

We are looking forward to this year’s festival, September 25-28. With 42 years of success behind it, we have no doubt this year will be pure scandimonium!
