It’s time to take a break from your regularly scheduled life to appreciate the best of the best ads from the 2015 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
These are my favorites from the Film and Film Craft categories. They say art imitates life and advertising is art, so it should come as no surprise that many of the winners this year dove into the controversial issues of the moment.
Some are beautifully shot and edited, many grab at the heartstrings and a couple are so wonderfully weird that I had to include them. My absolute favorite is an Always ad. If you’d have ever told me that a commercial for a company who makes tampons would bring me close to tears, I wouldn’t have believed you.
So grab some popcorn and maybe a tissue; You’re not going to want to take a bathroom break during these.
