It’s almost Norsk Høstfest time. This year is Høstfest’s 40th-anniversary celebration, and there’s more reason than ever to attend what is destined to be a historic Høstfest. It was our privilege at KK BOLD to help Høstfest promote their ticket on-sale date of May 17. Since May 17 is also Norway’s Constitution Day, we conveniently already had it marked on our calendars.
Our creative for this year’s campaign focuses on “4Ø Years of Pure Scandimonium.” The main marketing objective of the campaign is ticket sales, with secondary objectives of generating excitement about the festival, promoting the on-sale date, driving traffic to their website hostfest.com, and promoting the lineup. This year’s entertainment for Norsk Høstfest is suitably epic to reflect their 40th anniversary. It includes The Doobie Brothers, Jeff Dunham, Celtic Thunder, Gary Allan and Josh Turner, The Oak Ridge Boys, Joe Diffie and John Michael Montgomery, Amy Grant and Little River Band. Now that you know who you can see at this year’s Høstfest, you’re probably pretty excited. Can’t really blame you.
For the on-sale campaign, we placed a variety of ads in newspapers and magazines, local radio, TV and digital billboards, as well as online, including online video, radio, and Facebook. We also coordinated the printing and insertion of a flyer into a variety of North Dakota and Minnesota newspapers the week before the on-sale date of May 17. A brochure, which goes to ticket purchasers from previous years to generate excitement about this year’s festival, was also produced. See below for a full sampling of this year’s marketing materials.
Tickets are now officially on sale for Norsk Høstfest’s 40th-anniversary celebration, and people are definitely excited to attend. That would seem to indicate we did a good job getting the word out.
