KK BOLD is in its third year partnering with St. Joseph’s Community Heath Foundation to get the word out about the Twice Blessed program. In November and December of each year since 2017, St. Joseph’s has matched contributions to local nonprofits. This year the contributions totaled just under $500,000. St. Joseph’s matched amount was $333,500 for a grand total of $833,500 going to support 45 agencies, food pantries and nursing scholarships. $287,183 was distributed in 2017, so you can see how it has grown in just three years!
St. Joseph’s President, Shelly Weppler, is very proud of this year’s growth. She shares, “I am pleased with the results of the third year of the St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation Twice Blessed Giving Program. One of our goals as a Foundation is to help increase charitable giving and investments in the community, whether donors decide to give for today or tomorrow. The Twice Blessed program provides a central site and a collaborative venue for giving, and supports the outreach efforts of participating agencies. It is a win for us all.
“With the Twice Blessed program, we provided tools to participating agencies to use in connecting with their contributors and friends, and in turn, the joint efforts helped 1,200 people provide funds to 70 area agencies.
“Our clients are broader than just donors to the foundation and we hope we can help them through their own journey to locate worthy causes and become better philanthropists.”
