Spring is a time for new beginnings, and since it’s supposed to be spring according to the calendar, Visit Minot is hitting the REFRESH button on their marketing for 2016, with a fresh new look that’ll have everyone saying “Yo, man, that’s fresh. Cowabunga, dude. Word to your mother.” We’re hip with the kids of today.
Visit Minot has debuted its freshened look for advertising in 2016. New photography, billboards, online and print ads have been making their way through western North Dakota, eastern Montana and all-of-the-directions Canada. In a push to catch new eyes and bring new tourism dollars into Minot, the new look is intended to capture the viewer’s gaze and ask them the immortal question: “Why aren’t you in Minot, North Dakota right now?”
For this freshened look, we really wanted to focus on the imagery being the focal point of the ad. With captivating photos shot from interesting angles, we were able to work with a minimal amount of copy and let the photos speak for themselves. Our hope is that this style resonates with viewers and translates into Minot being a unique location, or even a bit mysterious, and definitely fun.
Portraying Minot in its truest sense was important in these ads. With a minimalistic, natural and lively style, we did just that. Let your eyes be the judge and feat them upon the examples above. Pretty effective, right? So we’ll be seeing you soon in Minot, all thanks to the fresh redesign and new look for Visit Minot. And also slightly past-their-expiration-date teenage lingo.
