Everyone knows that the North Dakota State Fair is Great. Big. Fun. And now it’s also a Great. Big. Winner. The North Dakota State Fair was the recipient of a total of 15 International Awards from the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) in categories including competitive exhibits, agriculture and communications. NDSF earned 13 awards in the communications category alone. The Fair was also presented with the title of Best of Show in communications.
The Best of Show award was given to the North Dakota State Fair team for scoring the highest total of the combined individual categories in the communications division. In total, the State Fair was the winner of all of the following Hall of Honor Communications Awards:
Black and White Newspaper – 1st Place
Color Newspaper – 1st Place
Magazine Ad – 1st Place
Poster – 1st Place
Point of Purchase Display (Mall Kiosk) – 1st Place
Single Billboard – 3rd Place
Multipage Publication (Tabloid) – 3rd Place
Single Brochure/Flyer – 1st Place
Brochure Flyer Series (Daily Schedules) – 3rd Place
Radio Ads – 1st Place
Social Media Campaign – 2nd Place
Best Individual Social Media Idea (Treasure Hunt) – 2nd Place
Best Advertising Campaign – 2nd Place
In addition, first place awards received in the Competitive Exhibits category included Competitive Exhibit Display Method, New or Unique Division and Competitive Exhibit Photo Series.
