The boots are polished. And the bows are rosined. Voices are warmed. And the hats are donned. The stage is ready. The show is about to begin.
That’s the scene being set by the new TV spots KK BOLD has created for Medora. As a prelude to the beginning of the summer tourist season at Medora, we were commissioned to create a new set of advertisements to get visitors excited to visit. Three spots were created, two of which have begun circulation on local television stations.
The new ads encapsulate the new theme for Medora – Explore it. Adore it. Titled “The Prelude,” the spots reflect on the residents of Medora and the participants in the Medora Musical getting ready to do what they do every day – provide the Medora experience to one and all. Beautifully shot on location in Medora, each of the spots seeks to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at all the hard work that goes into making Medora as unique and enjoyable as it is. Even the musical score of a piano playing in the background gives the sense of something special being in the air.
KK BOLD A/V Editor/Producer Mark Gray, who filmed and edited the spots, says, “For me, the Medora TV project was an all-out and extremely rewarding experience from our initial concept meeting to production through to the final edits, color grading and sound design. We were fortunate to have a client willing to let us take some chances and run with a new idea and approach to their television and online advertising. There was wonderful collaboration with everyone involved.”
The final product is something we are all very proud of, and that has already garnered an overwhelmingly positive response from those who have seen them. We hope they do exactly what they set out to do, which is to visually show the anticipation felt by everyone involved in the production Medora puts on every day, and to grow that anticipation within those watching to want to go to Medora themselves. Explore the ads, adore the ads. And make sure if you have the chance, that you too visit Medora this summer. Find more about the new Explore It. Adore It. Medora Marketing Campaign here.
