Passion. Even the word kind of gets you all fired up, don’t you think? No matter what it is you are advertising — you, your product, your company, your services — most likely you are passionate about it. Or you should be. And of course that’s what you are hoping other people will also feel. So how do you get those people to feel the same? You already know how to do it. And you likely do it all the time. We are all advertisers. We try something and depending on the level of passion we have for and about it, we tell other people. Voilà!
Now, try to tell someone about a product or service you’ve never experienced. How’s that workin’ for ya? Some of us are pretty decent liars fakers but it’s tough to fake passion (Insert inappropriate joke here). Copywriters are often expected to do just that. But to be honest, that’s unnecessary. A good agency will find out what you are all about. You may not know marketing like we do, but you know what you do. And you are great at it. So, pull up a chair and tell us all about you. Really. We don’t mind at all. Go ahead and go on and on (and on and on). It certainly makes my job as a copywriter a whole lot easier, not to mention a lot more fun. And it will make you more successful.
You want to have a relationship with your customers. That’s a given. The same should be said about your marketing firm.
Oooh oooh pick us! We’re passionate! We’re BOLD!
