Hawkinson celebrates quarter century at KK BOLD

KK BOLD’s office manager Jackie Hawkinson recently completed 25 years of service at KK BOLD.

Hawkinson has been with KK BOLD from the very beginning. She was originally hired by Kranzler Saueressig in 1988 and was with the company when Wayne Kranzler and LaRoy Kingsley became partners and formed Kranzler Kingsley Communications, Ltd. in 1989. This in no way reflects the ages of the trio. Somehow they are all still in their twenties. Well, Jackie sure looks like it anyway.

Jackie started as a part-time administrative assistant and after her first day was offered a full-time position. Talk about making a good impression! Shortly thereafter she became office manager, a position she’s held ever since. The company started with seven employees and has grown to 35 and counting. She says much more than that has changed in those 25 years, from type writers and hand writing bills to computers and online banking. She also adds that the original office, on Broadway in Bismarck, had a shared break room with the other offices in the building, which she does not miss. We don’t blame her.

Jackie just celebrated 25 years of marriage as well. She married her high school sweetheart and has three children, ages 15, 13 and 9. She enjoys running, rollerblading, volleyball and walking her dogs. No wonder she still looks 20! She and her husband, Don, own a cabin on Lake Isabel, ND. (Note to self: Plan company visit to Jackie’s cabin.)

“Jackie is one of those rare people who sets the tone and vibe of the entire agency,” says KK BOLD President LaRoy Kingsley. “Her enthusiasm, dedication and dynamic personality make it a joy to come to work and our clients and staff truly appreciate her professional demeanor and skills. As a business owner, people like Jackie are vital to your company’s success.” KK BOLD Chief Executive Officer Wayne Kranzler adds, “It’s difficult to believe how quickly Jackie’s 25 year tenure has passed. Throughout the years, Jackie has proven her value to our firm countless times. Her ever–present smile and obvious professionalism are much admired and appreciated by our staff, clients and vendors.”

As office manager, Jackie’s responsibilities are extensive. She oversees billing, payables and receivables, payroll, human resources, monthly financials, quarterlies and much more. Her experience in the day to day workings of KK BOLD is invaluable. Besides, we like kinda like her. We’ll keep her for another 25 years if she lets us.

Leave a note of congratulations and join us in thanking Jackie!

Congratulations, Jackie! I still remember my first day at KKC, Ltd. back in April of 2000. You showed me the ropes and got me started on what was essentially the first real day of my advertising career. I’ll never forget it.

    All the best, Jackie.

I don’t think I’ve met anyone who has maintained a sunny disposition day-in and day-out as you, Jackie. Yet it isn’t ever the inane, “always happy”, ditzy type of manner. Friendly, courteous, and utterly professional. And great fun to work with.

    Congratulations on an incredible milestone.

Jackie, sad to say you were not yet born when I started my marketing/public relations career, but I love you anyway. Don’t tell Don. Best wishes to you.
