Bold wins gold.

The North Dakota State Fair and KK BOLD brought home ten Awards of Excellence from the International Association of Fairs and Expositions conference that was recently held in Las Vegas.

The 2011 advertising campaign that won the awards was built around NDSF’s new tag line, Great. Big. Fun. The print look is dominated by the words “North Dakota State Fair” which works well with the bigness of the tag. For the TV and radio, KK BOLD created different spots focused on “great,” “big,” and “fun,” while the TV tied in nicely with the print by using a primary visual of kinetic type as well as stylized footage. The result? Winning.

The NDSF received three first place awards for Color NewspaperMagazine and TV. Two second place awards were for Black and White Newspaper and Poster. Third place awards were won for Brochure and E-newsletter.

Additional awards were won for Promotional Out of Home Advertising, and for the Fair’s tabloid and quarterly printed newsletters.

It seems that KK BOLD and the North Dakota State Fair make a good team. Check out the spots for yourself and see if you don’t agree.
