Ho Ho Ho lotta BOLD – that’s what Designer Genes of North Dakota just won! The holiday season will be all the merrier for the good people who are part of this organization, knowing their 2014 communications will be enhanced by up to $15,000 worth of the public relations and marketing skills of KK BOLD.
Those of us here at KK BOLD are pretty excited, too. We already love what we do. I mean, what’s not to like about creating cutting-edge websites, attention-getting ads and beautiful brochures? And who wouldn’t love helping organizations connect with their many publics or targeting a social media message to a broad audience?
We get to do a lot of cool stuff at KK BOLD. In some ways, though, we may have raised the bar just a bit. Typically, we need to reign in our creativity just a tad to meet corporate guidelines and client expectations – understandably so, of course. But, when we work on a community service project, we have more flexibility and more opportunities to get our creative juices flowing, so we can’t wait to partner with Designer Genes on refining and communicating their important message!
We already know this non-profit organization shares our strong work ethic since it took nothing short of a Herculean effort to win the Step Up! contest. We also know they’re very creative by the way they conducted outreach to members and the voting public, by the spirit they displayed during a radio interview and by the energy they generated throughout the campaign. … By the way, Roxane Romanick – it’s okay to take a rest now.
So, what’s next? The first step will be an assessment of Designer Genes’ marketing needs. That’s because, even when we’re giving it away, we still do our level best to ensure clients get the best bang for their (or should we say our?) buck. However Designer Genes uses KK BOLD’s creative services, look for regular updates via our social media outreach and Designer Genes communication tools.
This is an exciting new project for KK BOLD. But before we move forward, we want to say thanks to the many people who contributed to the success of the Step Up! contest. More than 30 non-profit agencies were nominated, and the six finalists received more than 10,000 votes on our Facebook page. Wow, simply wow!
In addition to Designer Genes, Step Up! finalists included the Alzheimer’s Association, Dreams in Motion, Magic City Discovery Center, RSI and VSA North Dakota. Each of these organizations – as well as all of the nominees – serve important roles in the lives of others and demonstrated significant need for what Step Up! has to offer.
Throughout the contest, KK BOLD received many kudos from people who supported this initiative. We are most appreciative of these kind words, especially since involving the public in the nomination and voting process was new to us, too. Now we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work. Designer Genes – KK BOLD is at your service!
